Mary Claire (course tutor) will demonstrate the use of different colour pallettes (including some very interesting limited pallettes) and their effect on painting. She will also give an illustrated talk on how the greatest 20th century painters have used colour in their paintings. We will also look at techniques of painting and glazing oil paints over acrylics to build colour and textural interest in the painting. Students may select an area of personal interest to them to explore during the course. Many starting points will be provided.
Complete beginners are always welcome and will be specially catered for.
This course is mixed level and is suitable for both experienced painters and beginners
